Stefania S Gorgacz , 92

Stefania S. "Effie" Gorgacz, 92, of 4281 Frewmill Rd., Portersville, PA, died the afternoon of October 26, in the Melech Hospice House, 11125 N. 53 Street, Temple Terrace, FL.

Born March 21, 1916 in New Castle, to the late Ignatous and Nora Wallas Bodziach. She was married to Edward G. Gorgacz for 68 years. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2006. Stefania was a Roman Catholic.
Effie was a loving homemaker for her husband, children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Gorgacz was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish for 60 years. She was a member of the Rosarian Ministry at the Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon Florida. Effie also volunteered at the Hawthorne Inn and Nursing Home in Brandon Florida.
Effie really enjoyed sewing, gardening, raising flowers and cooking. She loved being with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark A and Jackie Gorgacz of New Castle and Edward J. Gorgacz of Seffner, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Newman Buckley of Silver City, New Mexico; two sisters, Ann Sniezek of Hermitage, PA and Frances Softich of Boardman, Ohio; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bodziach and sister, Bertha Czubek.

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 30, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for St. Joseph the Worker Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m.. The Rev. Robert Schweitzer will officiate. Committal service and burial will be in S.S. Phillip & James Cemetery.
