Stella C Dunlavey , 92
Stella C. Dunlavey, 92, of 169 Lucas Lane, New Castle, died the morning of November 20, in her residence with her family by her side.
Born October 21, 1916, in New Castle, to the late Stanley and Anna Buczek Walczak. She was married to the late John R. Dunlavey for 66 years, he preceded her in death on August 6, 2007.
Stella was a loving homemaker for her husband and family. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Stella loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Survivors include a son, John R. Dunlavey Jr. of Whitmore Lake, MI; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and John Hemphill of New Castle; a sister, Helen Presnar of New Castle; five grandchildren, Matthew Dunlavey, Amy Dunlavey, Stephanie and Eric Squicquero, John and Valerie Hemphill and Kevin and Barbara Hemphill; four great-grandchildren, Lochlann Dunlavey, Aidan Dunlavey, Ashley Sager, and Amberlee Sager.
In addition to her parents and husband John, Stella was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Walczak; five sisters, Josephine Thompson, Mary Skoczyles, Jennie Zuzow, Sophie Moncilovich and Clara Mordovanets.
Viewing for family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 21, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle.
A procession will leave Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for St. Mary's church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.. The Rev. Victor Molka, Pastor from Mary Mother of Hope Parish will officiate. Burial will be in S.S. Phillip & James Cemetery following mass.
