Paul Richard Zentz, 81

Paul Richard Zentz Sr., 81, of 2806 Old Butler Rd., New Castle, died the afternoon of December 17, in the Butler VA Hospital, Butler.

Born August 4, 1927, in Hubbard, Ohio to the late Andrew and Mary Bain Zentz. Paul married the former Helen Mallie Stolitca. They where married for 59 years. She survives.

Paul was retired from Rockwell International after 20 years of service as a oiler. He also owned and operated Zentz'a Pet Supply for 15 years in New Castle.

Paul enjoyed going to his camp in Kennerdale, fishing with his family and his seed business.

Paul was a U.S. Army, WW II Veteran, inducted November 9, 1943 to November 25, 1944. He was assigned to the Battery K 2nd Paratroop in Ft. Benning, GA. He held the rank of Private First Class in the supply division.

In addition to his wife, Helen, survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Taras P. Zentz, and Paul R. and Kimberly Zentz all of New Castle; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen A. and Gary Bender of New Castle; five Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Zentz; two sisters, Marie Hricik and Catherine O'Rourke.

Visitation for family and friends are from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 19, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, for a Funeral Liturgy at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The Rev. William Diakiw will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites at the cemetery prior to the committal service.
