Bernice Kosin Yuvan, 90, of W. Meyer Ave., New Castle, died the evening of December 17, in Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Born April 10, 1918, in New Castle, to the late Stanley and Bernice Olszewski Kosin. Bernice was married to the late Albert Yuvan. He died in April 1998.
Bernice was a devote Roman Catholic and a longtime member of Mary Mother of Hope Parish.
Bernice worked in Kent, Ohio for Lamb Electric Co., for 30 years as an Assembler in the communications division.
Bernice is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by, four brothers, Rev. Wallace Kosin, William Kosin, Walter Kosin and Stanley Kosin; four sisters, Mary Polansky, Estol Callentine, Jane Masajada and Frances Colbert.
Visitation for family and friends are 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for Mary Mother of Hope Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:00 a.m.. The Rev. Victor Molka will officiate. Burial will take place in S.S. Phillip & James Cemetery.
