Joseph Bobosky Jr., 83 of 211 Bluff St., New Castle, Pa., died the evening of Jan 9, 2009 in Jameson Hospital.
Born January 22, 1925 to the late Joseph and Helen Novotne Bobosky. Joseph was married for 55 years to the late Dolores B. Smolinski Bobosky. She died on December 8, 2001.
Joseph retired with over 40 years as the shop forman at Winkle Electric, Youngstown, Ohio. Joseph was a life member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and bowling on the Wabash Bears bowling league. He was past President of the New Castle District Bowling League.
Joseph loved woodworking and really loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joseph was a U.S. Army, W.W. II Veteran, he held the rank of Technician 5th Grade, 242nd Infantry, 42nd Division. Joe was inducted July 31, 1943 and honorably discharged on July 7, 1945. Joseph served in the Northern France and Germany Campaigns. He received the E.A.M.E. Campaign Medal; Two Bronze Battle Stars; a Purple Heart; Combat Infantryman Badge; and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores A. Gwin and Kathleen Miron of New Castle, Pa.; three sons, Joseph Bobosky, Mark Bobosky and Roger Bobosky all of New Castle; one brother, George Bobosky of New Castle; two sisters, Helen Jendrysik and Maryann Graziani both of New Castle; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Dolores, he was preceded in death by a infant grandson, Mark Bobosky; two brothers, Thomas Bobosky and James Bobosky.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan 12, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle, Pa.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan 13, for Mary Mother of Hope Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.. The Rev. Victor Molka, Pastor will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
We will ALL tremendously miss the most caring, loving man that any of us had ever come to know in this lifetime. His heart was SO Huge!

Dee, Larry, Kris, and Family - We just heard about your dad/granddad earlier this afternoon (1/13) and are terribly sorry we missed paying our respects in person at his calling hours.
