William A Sallmen, 64
William A. Sallmen Jr., 64, of 814 W. Washington St., Apt 601, New Castle, died the afternoon of January 19, in his residence.
Born February 29, 1944 to the late William A. and Anna B. Alley Sallmen Sr.. William married the former Kathleen F. Feith on September 12, 1992. They were married for 16 years.
William retired from Garrett Railroad Co., as a sandblaster after many years of service. He was a 1961 graduate of Union High School. William enjoyed working of old cars.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen, survivors include a son, William James Sallmen of Texas; a brother, Carl Sallmen of Volant; a sister, Carol Hopper of Phoenix, Az; one grandson, Tyler James Sallmen of Texas.
"Bill" was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances E. Cearfoss.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 p.m., Friday, January 23, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle, Pa 16103
A memorial service will be held Friday, following visitation at 1:00 p.m.. The Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
