Irene Rozzi , 85
Irene Rozzi, 85, formerly of 708 Edgewood Ave., New Castle, died the afternoon of January 23, in the Overlook Medical Center, New Wilmington, Pa.
Born November 20, 1923 in Marshville, Oregon to the late Armus and Selma Tekander. She was married for 23 years to Patsy "Rocco" Rozzi. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Irene was of the Protestant faith. She was a homemaker for her husband and sons. Irene enjoyed and loved to garden at her residence.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Mr. James A. and Sharon Rozzi of Spring Texas and Mr. Tony R. and Janice Rozzi of Freedom, Pa; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Patsy, and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert Tekander, Ted Tekander, Ben Tekander and Gus Tekander; and one sister, Vienna Tekander.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan 28, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle.
A Memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home following visitation. The Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
