Shirley A Liskooka , 72
Shirley A. Liskooka, 72, of Vista South Apartments, S. Mercer St., died the afternoon of July 20.
Born January 1, 1936, in New Castle. She was the daughter of Michael and Edna Zuzow. Shirley was married to the late John Liskooka, he preceded her in death on Dec 31, 2001. Mrs. Liskooka was a homemaker and worked for the St. Francis Hospital Gift Shop as a Sales Clerk. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1954 and New Castle Business College in 1956. Shirley loved cooking, crossword puzzles, crocheting and keeping house for her family.
She is survived by four sons; John A. Liskooka of South New Castle Boro, Michael Liskooka, George Liskooka and James Liskooka, all of New Castle. Ten Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and daughter Lesliann Liskooka.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 23, from 5-8pm at the Noga Funeral Home Inc, 1142 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10a.m. for mass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Mary Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary's Church on Thursday, July 24, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. James Downs will Officiate. Committal service will immediately follow Mass at church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
