Josephine Victoria Slizeski , 92
Josephine Victoria Slizeski, 92, of Vincentian Regency, 9399 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA, formerly of Hanna Street, New Castle, died the afternoon of January 23, 2010, in Vincentian Regency.
Josephine was born September 13, 1917, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Elizabeth Kozlowski Sokolski. Josephine was married to the late John Albert Slizeski. He preceded her death on March 28, 1967.
Josephine was Roman Catholic. She was a loving homemaker for her husband and children. She was a former member of S.S Philip and James Church and was an active member of the Altar Society. Josephine loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth, Betty, A. and her husband Grant Butler, of Florida and Mary Lou and her husband George Oswald, of Allison Park, PA; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Josphine was preceded in death by five brothers.
Calling hours are 1 to 4 p.m.,for family and friends, on Tuesday, January 26, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street New Castle, PA 16101.
A Blessing Service will be conducted Tuesday, at 4 p.m., following visitation at the funeral home. The Rev. Steven Palsa, of St. Vincent DePaul Parish will officiate. Burial will be in S.S. Philip & James Cemetery.
