From ASHLEY AUDIA
Jean E. Audia was born June 29, 1916 to Frank and Erminia DeSalvo in Eastbrook, PA. Jean was lifted to be with her Father God Creator early January 15, 2010, in West Palm Beach Fla.
She loved Jesus Christ, and knew that he gave his life to redeem all those who called upon him to be their Savior. Like many, she loved beyond denominational boundaries, yet cared deeply about her faith.
Jean was a member of the St. Vitus Catholic Church for many years; there the Glory and Praise group brought the Bible to life, and she sowed those seeds of faith openly where ever she went.
She truly loved family and although quieted by her illness at the end, she passed in the midst of prayers and testimonies at her bedside of her love for Jesus.
Jean was a graduate of East Brook School in 1932. She attended Maison Fredric Beauty Academy in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1935. Jean was employed until 1942 in New Castle.
Jean was married to Samuel J. Audia in 1938. He survives. She raised five children, Samuel Audia Jr., who preceded her in death in March 1996, Karen Kissel, of Royal Palm Beach, Fla, Jo Ann Rainey, of Leander, Tx, Darryl Audia, of New Castle and Thomas Audia, of Lake Worth, Fla.
During her life, she enjoyed gardening, painting, in all mediums, crocheting afghans, painting fabrics and quilting.
A Catholic Mass will be conducted at St. Vitus Church, 10 a.m., Thursday, January 28. Local arrangements where entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. Online condolences may be given at www.nogafuneralhome.com
