Steve A Voras Steve A. Voras, 86, of 1801 Graceland Rd., New Castle, died the morning of January 26, 2010, in U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born January 24, 1924, in New Castle. Steve was the son of the late Steve and Hannah Black Voras. He was married to Ann F. Nero. They were married for 50 years. She preceded him in death in January 1999. Steve married the former Nancy L. DiVitto. They have been married for seven years.

Steve was self-employed and the owner of his trucking company for over 60 years. Trucking was his life. He was a graduate of New Castle High School in 1942. Steve was a member of the Eagles and Moose Club in New Castle.

Steve was a WWII Veteran, serving with the 378 Air Service Group in the U.S. Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and was inducted March 22, 1943 and honorably discharged November 16, 1945. Steve served in Northern France; Rhineland; and Central Europe. He received the following medals and citations, American Theater Ribbon; European-Africian-Middle Eastern Ribbon w/ 3 Bronze Stars; Good Conduct Medal; and WWII Victory Medal.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve A. and his wife Diana Voras Jr., of New Castle and Pat E. and his wife Becky Voras, of Elizabethtown, PA; a step-daughter, Ms. Deanna L. Ullrich, of New Castle; a brother, John 'Jack' Voras, of New Castle; four grandchildren and one step-grandchild; and three great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ann F. Voras.

Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 28, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S.Mill St. New Castle.

A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at 9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.nogafuneralhome.com

To Nancy, Stevie and Pat: WOW - what can I say but I am so sorry for your lose. Having Uncle Steve as a God Father was Great! Weill always remember the great times our families shared over the years. Will remember his great big smile and heart. May he now be in the hands of God - Love Ralphie.
