Jeffrey J Shearer , 52
Jeffrey J. Shearer, 52, of 1104 Warren Ave., New Castle, died the evening of February 1, 2010, in Lordstown Village, Trumbull Co., Ohio.
Born March 5, 1957, in New Castle. Jeffrey was the son of James W. Shearer and Georgeanna, Dolly, Kopsky Shearer. He was married to the late Patricia J. Craven. She preceded him in death on May 31, 1996. They were married for 9 years. Jeffrey was Roman Catholic.
Jeffrey worked for General Motors Corporation in Lordstown Village, Trumbull Co., Ohio. He worked the assembly line as a car inspector for over 29 years.
He was a graduate of New Wilmington High School. Jeff enjoyed working of cars. He loved his project car, a 1974 Road Runner. Jeff also enjoyed riding his four wheeler and working outside around his home and taking care of his mother and father's landscaping.
Survivors include his parents, James and Dolly Shearer, of New Castle; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Doug L. Shearer, of Orlando, FL and Todd W. Shearer and his wife, Shanay, of Hamburg, NY; his long-time companion, Carol Barzak and her daughter Kelly Barzak, of New Castle; and a niece and two nephews, Elise L. Shearer and Eric J. Shearer, of Hamburg, NY and Michael Shearer, of Orlando, FL.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Francis and Virginia Shearer; maternal grandparents, George and Bernice Kopsky; and his wife, Patricia J. Shearer.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle, PA 16101..
A Blessing Service will be conducted, 9:30 a.m., Saturday morning at the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Thomas Lewandowski, pastor of St. Camillus Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
