Stella F Davis , 85
Stella F. Davis, 85, formerly of Hanna St., New Castle, died the afternoon of July 22, 2010 in Jameson Care Center.
Born December 26, 1924, in New Castle. Mr. Davis was the daughter of the late John H. Kolodziejski and Julia Piedjak. She was married for 15 years to Thomas W. Davis. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1964.
Mr. Davis worked for St. Frances Hospital as a nurses aide in the I.C.U. and C.C.U. for 18 years. Stella was a member of the Silver Threads, V.V. Club and the Polish Central Committee.
She loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Tonya Arnold, of Goose Creek, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, John L. Kolodziejski and his wife, Joan of New Castle; a sister, Frances Boak, of New Castle; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Thomas, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Spincic, Bertha Belzyt, Jennie Kolodziejski and Sophie Kolakowski.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street.
A Blessing Service will be conducted Monday morning 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Deacon Dan Kielar of St. Vincent DePaul Parish will officiate. The committal and burial will be in S.S. Phillip & James Cemetery.
