Donald P Quarello , 80
Donald P. Quarello 80, of Shenango Twp, New Castle, died on July 12,2010 in Kindred Hospital, Beaver Co.
Mr Quarello was born in New Castle, on November 24,1929. He was the son of the late Donald Quarello & Marie Colella. Donald grew up in New Castle and graduated from the New Castle School System in 1947.
After working for a brief period of time, he joined the U.S. Army in October of 1951 and attained the rank of Corporal. He served with the 67th AAA Gun Bn C Btry while in Germany.
Donald came home and married the love of his life Shirley Moraldi on November 21,1953. They remained married for 41 yrs until her passing in Sept 20,1995. Donald worked for Remacor for 25 yrs as a purchasing agent and also for Mesta Mchine co.for 18 yrs as a shipping supervisor.
He also helped bartend at Corsci's and at Rudy's Half Way Inn to help a friend. Don enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working on his vehicles.
Mr. Quarello is survived by a daughter Deborah L. Ialongo and her husband, Ronald, of New Castle; a granddaughter, Ilana Lee Ialongo, of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Shirley, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Quarello.
Calling hours are 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14,2010 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home 9:30 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, where Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10a.m. at StVitus Church. The Rev. John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will officiate. Entombment will follow at Castleview Mausoleum.
