Waclaw H Pniewski , 83

Waclaw H. (Walter) Pniewski, 83, of 110 Balph Ave., died the night of Sept 1, 2008 in Edison Manor Nursing Home.

Born August 26, 1925, in Warsaw Poland, to the late Peter and Anna Kowalczyk Pniewski. Waclaw was married to the former Monique Hay for 11 years. She preceded him in death on November 7, 1968.
Walter worked for Penna Engineering Co. as a burner for 12 years. He also worked for Mesta Machine Corp for 15 years and the Shaw Perkins Co. for 5 years.

Walter was a WWII Veteran, U.S. Army, rank of Cpl., serving in France and Germany.
Waclaw enjoyed fixing anything. He loved to go dancing (polka music), watch T.V., especially the news, politics, old westerns, and war movies from the past. Walter was a very busy person.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Beatrice A. Pniewski of New Castle, and Denise E. and Kenneth Lehmier of New Castle; two grandsons, Jesse A. Lehmier and Jack A. Lehmier of New Castle.

Waclaw was preceded in death by his parents and wife Monique Hay Pniewski.

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Sept 3, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle.

A blessing service will take place on Wednesday, Sept 3, at 6:00 p.m. following visitation hours. The Rev. Robert J. Schweitzer, Pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites following the blessing service. Burial will be in S.S. Philip and James Cemetery.
