Frances Dick , 95
Frances Dick, 95, of Warren M.I., formerly of New Castle, died the afternoon of October 12, 2008, in the Sanctuary at the Abbey Nursing Home, Warren M.I..
Born October 10, 1913 in New Castle, to the late Julian and Cecilia Piotrowski Smosarski. Frances was married for 32 to years to the late Michael Dick, he died in 1965.
Frances worked in New Castle at the Shenango Pottery Corporation for many years. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and going fishing.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Edward Bakanowicz of Warren, M.I..
In addition to her parents and husband Michael, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Dickson, he died in 2001; three brothers, Steven Smosarski, Edward Smosarski and Frank Smosarski; two sisters, Bertha Smosarski and Virginia Trczinski.
Calling hours for family and friends will be from 10 to 12 p.m., on Thursday, October 16, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St New Castle, PA 16103.
A Blessing and Committal Service will take place at 12 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16. The Rev. Kenneth Keene, Pastor from St. Vincent DePaul Parish will officiate. Burial will be in S.S. Phillip & James Cemetery.
