Kenneth E. Budai

Kenneth E. Budai, 77 of 2015 Pennsylvania Ave. New Castle passed away the afternoon of February 2, 2023 at his residence.

Kenny was born April 6, 1945 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Michael P. and Sophia D. (Rutka) Budai Sr. Mr. Budai was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1963. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Budai was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Marksman Badge. Kenny was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent DePaul Site.

Kenny worked at Shenango Pottery as a kiln operator.  He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was also an avid Steelers and Duke Basketball fan. 

Mr. Budai is survived by his brother, Jan (Gabriella) Budai of New Castle; sister-in-law, Constance Budai, nephew and niece, James Budai, and Kylie (Shawn) Carr; great-nephews, Jordan Budai and Cade Carr and great-niece Kinsley Carr.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his brother Michael P. Budai, and niece Rebecca Budai.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill Street. A Blessing Service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. Seminarian Dan Roberts of Holy Spirit Parish will be officiating. Burial will take place at S.S. Philip & James Cemetery.
