Alice M. Jermakowicz

Alice M. Jermakowicz, 99, formerly of Morris Street passed away the evening of November 8, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Care Center.

Alice was born August 29, 1921 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Adolph and Josephine Jermakowicz. Ms. Jermakowicz attended Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. Alice was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1939.

Ms. Jermakowicz retired after 35 years of service as an Office Clerk at the former Sears, Roebuck and Company in New Castle.  Ms. Jermakowicz loved to travel with her friends and family. She was able to visit France, Ireland, and Poland.

Alice is survived by her niece, Dorothy Kline of New Castle; and nephews, Harry Jermakowicz of Tenn., Stanley (Delores) Kolodjeski of New Jersey, great-niece, Jean (Charles) Johnson, nephew, John (Wendy) Kline, of Ohio, great-great niece, Amy (Drew) Antol, great-great-nephew, Andrew Johnson of AZ, great-great-great nephews, Parker and Maddox Antol, and several other nieces and nephews. One of her greatest joys were the visits from Parker and Maddox bearing presents and snacks. 

In addition to both her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Jermakowicz, and sister, Eleanor Kolodjeski; brother-in-law, Marion Kolodjeski; nephews, Victor Kolodjeski and John Kline

Per her wishes, a private Blessing Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1141 Mill Street, New Castle. The Very Rev. John A. Rencewicz, II pastor of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity PNC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Contributions can be made in her name to Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church; 1708 S. Jefferson St. New Castle, PA 16102.
