Ann Marie Show, 91, currently resided at Jameson Care Center, but prior to this she resided at Jameson Assisted Living, in New Castle, PA., Ann Marie passed away the evening of February 11, 2025 with her family by her side.
Ann Marie was born May 7, 1933 in New Castle, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Martha (Bender) Dawson. Ann Marie married the late Lynden R. Show. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2009. They were married for 54 years. Mrs. Show was of the Lutheran faith and attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ann Marie was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1951.
Mrs. Show will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Ann Marie also worked outside the home as a sales clerk at both the former Treasure Island Retail Store in the hardware department and Fisher's Big Wheel. Ann Marie enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing, baking cookies at Christmas with her kids when they were younger, and traveling after She and her husband retired. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, as they were pretty much inseparable and family holidays. She and her sister Marian were always on the move after both became widows, spending time shopping and whatever the day would bring them.
Ann Marie is survived by her son, Richard L. (Linda Patton) Show of Pulaski; two daughters, Marty A. (Ed) Sheridan Jr. of Edinburg, PA., and Debra (Fiance’ Terry Bortz) Jones of Franklin, PA; sister, Marian Day of New Castle, PA; six grandchildren, Brian Show of Fenelton Pa, Josh Show of Pueblo, Co., Alicia (Vic) Laurenza of Cheswick, PA., Danielle (Zach) Clouse of Gulf Breeze, FL., Michelle (David) Giles of Porterville, PA, Eric (Ashley) Jones of West Pittsburg, PA; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren .
In addition to her parents, and husband Lynden R. Show, Ann Marie was preceded in death by her grandson, Randy Jones, Jr.; and her brother, Russell Dawson.
A Private funeral service will be held for Ann Marie’s immediate family at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 Mill Street, New Castle. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorial donations be made in Ann Marie name to the Lawrence County Humane Society, 628 Pearson Street, New Castle Pa. 16101.
The family would like to also thank the entire staff of Anova Hospice Care that made life more dignified and comfortable for Ann Marie during her most challenging times, and for the family support which was received whenever necessary.
