Anna B. Burkovics, 92, of Eastbrook St. passed away peacefully on the morning of March 30, 2023.
Anna was born on March 28, 1931 in New Castle to the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Janscar) Kennedy. She graduated from New Castle High School, class of 1950. After high school she married Antal Burkovics. They were married until his death on August 10, 1999. Anna was of Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish- Mary Mother of Hope Site.
Mrs. Burkovics worked as a waitress at several restaurants in New Castle, most notable Coney Island and Hazel’s. She enjoyed Bingo, dancing in her younger years and going on bus trips.
Anna is survived by her daughters Susan (James) Misco, Barbara Graham, and Diane (John) Pustay; grandchildren Ann (Brandon) Main, Amber (Branden) Williams, and Jacob and Alyssa Pustay.
In addition to her parents and husband Antal, Anna is preceded in death by her brothers Leo, Harry, Jack, and Bob Kennedy and sister, Betty Dellaverson.
Visitation will be held from 11-1 PM on Monday April 3, 2023 at Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street New Castle.
A Blessing service will be celebrated immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Deacon Dr. Joseph Ross of Divine Grace parish will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Online condolences may be viewed or offered by visiting www.nogafuneralhome.com
