Anna (Shish) Fandozzi

November 2, 1940 ~ May 19, 2025 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Anna Fandozzi Obituary

Anna Fandozzi, 84 of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 19, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side.

Anna was born November 2, 1940 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Henzel) Shish. Anna was married to the late Elmo C. Fandozzi. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2008. They were married on May 10, 1958 and spent 50 years together. Mrs. Fandozzi was Roman Catholic and a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Mary, Mother of Hope site.  

Mrs. Fandozzi will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked at the former Riley’s funspot, and retired from Walmart in the receiving department for over 19 years. Anna loved playing bingo and doing Seek-n-Find puzzles. She also loved both her cat and dog. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her three children, Cynthia M. (Blair) Earnest of Penn Run, PA, Michael A. (Jeanne) Fandozzi of Merrimack, NH, and Theresa A. (John) Henry of New Castle; two brothers, Joseph Henzel of Williamsburg, VA, and John Shish of New Castle; two sisters, Julia (Steven) Colich  and Amelia (Fred) Tanner, both of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin, Alexander, Johnelle, Eva, Evan, and Annabelle; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Landyn, Maleyah, and Aveya; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Elmo, Anna was preceded in death by her six brothers, Anthony Shish, Alexander Shish, Martin Shish, Steve Shish, Julian Shish, and Martin Mucha; and her sister, Catherine Dec.

Following her wishes, there are no calling hours, the family is requesting to meet at church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Holy Spirit Parish-Mary, Mother of Hope site at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Aaron Kriss parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Rite of Committal and burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
