Bessie (Lesnett) Heckathorne

Bessie Heckathorne, 92, formerly of Portersville, passed away the evening of Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Shenango on the Green Nursing Home.

Bessie was born April 23, 1931 in Portersville, PA. She was the daughter of the late William and Jane (English) Lesnett. Bessie was married to the late Gerald Heckathorne. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2002. They were married for 50 years. Mrs. Heckathorne was a graduate of Muddy Creek High School, class of 1949.

Bessie is survived by two sons, Roger W. Heckathorne of Tionesta, PA, and Jeffrey S. Heckathorne of New Castle, PA; daughter, Janet (Vincent) Peluso of Portersville, PA; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Gerald, Bessie was preceded in death by three sons, Gerald W., Donald L., and Bruce D. Heckathorne; and her great-granddaughter, Olivia R. Matsook.

Following in Bessie wishes there are no calling hours or service scheduled at this time. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery. Local arrangements where entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
