Betty J. (Adams) Jones

Betty J. Jones 96, of New Castle, PA passed away the afternoon of November 10, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Betty was born June 7, 1924 in Prospect, PA. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ada Mary (Garver) Adams. She was married to the late James R. Jones. He preceded her in death in 1985. They were married for 45 years. Betty attended the Evangel Community Church.

Mrs. Jones will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Donna J. (Thomas) Miller of Grove City, PA and Linda D. Jones of Ellwood City, PA; a son, Larry R. (Frances) Jones of New Castle; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband James, Betty was preceded in death by her son, David J. Jones; and grandson, Christopher T. Jones.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street. Pastor Harry Edenhofer of Evangel Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
