Carol A. Kay, 72, formerly of Leawood Dr. New Castle passed away the evening of October 23, 2020 at UPMC Passavant/McCandless.
Carol was born January 13, 1948 in New Castle. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and Monagene (McConnell) Korzec. Carol was married to the late Lance D. Kay. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. They were married 49 years. Mrs. Kay was of the Presbyterian faith and attended Clen Moore United Presbyterian. Carol was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1965.
Carol will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carol loved being outside gardening, and doing crafts. Her family was very important in her life, she enjoyed mentoring them and watching them reach their goals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren that she loved so much.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Wendy C. (James) Saul and Jerrilyn D. (Matthew) Hiler, both of New Castle; brother, Raymond (Sally) Korzec of Beaverton, OR; sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Pemberton and Judith (William) Korzec-Murray, both of Lillian, AL; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Lance, Carol was preceded in death by two daughters, Lori Desatnik, and Hope Kay; brother, Walter Korzec; sister, Susan Padnuk, and grandson Caleb Desatnik.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
A Funeral Service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Pastor Aaron Christy of Clen Moore United Presbyterian will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
