Carol M. (Shaftic) Kloss

Carol M. Kloss, 76, of 187 W. Branch Dr, Edinburg passed way the morning of May 31, 2021 at Quality of Life Services in New Castle.

Carol was born January 5, 1945 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys (Cotton) Shaftic Sr. Carol worked as a caretaker at different nursing homes throughout Lawrence County.  Carol enjoyed the outdoors and visiting the mountains in the fall.  

She is survived by her daughter Rae Lynn (Joe) DeRicco of New Castle; her good friend Lewis “Skip” Presnar; three Grandchildren and one Great- Grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her children Suzie Kloss, Lisa Kloss, Diane Bell, Raymond “Buddy” Kloss, and brothers David E. and Paul Shaftic Jr.

A private family service will be held on Friday at Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill St, New Castle PA 16101.  Burial will be at Castleview Memorial Gardens. Online condolences by be given and viewed at nogafuneralhome.com
