Carol A. Reese

 Carol A. Reese, 77, formerly of Bessemer PA., passed away the afternoon of October 8, 2026 with her family by her side.

Carol was born March 7, 1949 in Santa Barbara, California.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony Stevenish and Nellie Jane (Miller) Owoc. Carol was married to the late James Hill Sr.  

Mrs. Reese retired from General Motors in Lordstown, OH. Carol loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in her yard. Mrs. Reese was an avid reader and loved taking long rides with her partner Richard (Rick) Telega. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her two daughters, Tammy S. (Stacy) Hill-Scurlock of Enon Valley, PA and Melinda M. Lewis-Scurlock of New Castle; two brothers, Charles Stevenish of Bessemer, PA and Julian (Christine) Owoc of New Castle; sister, Barbara Stevenish-Hartman of Ford City, PA; four children her late husband left her to love, Michael Lombardo, Tammy Jo Lombardo, Elmer Hill, and Mark Hill; and a multitude of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.

In addition to her parents and husband James Hill Sr., Carol was preceded in death by her Step-father, Julian Owoc; brother, George Stevenish; son, James A. Hill Jr., daughter, Mary Lou Hill; grandson, James A. Hill, III; and loving partner, Richard (Rick) Telega.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, with an additional hour on Monday October 12, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service will be celebrated immediately following visitation on Monday morning in the funeral home. The Rev. Michael Wimer of Chewton First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Farrell, PA.
