Carrie A. Marshall, 71 of 107 S. Mulberry Street, New Castle passed away the afternoon of December 18, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Carrie was born July 2, 1954 in New Castle and a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late John and Vera (Cubbal) Brophy. Mrs. Marshall was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1972. She will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, and memaw. Carrie also worked outside her home a cook with Medure Catering and manager of Rena Catering. She enjoyed doing all types of crafts especially Holiday Wreath decorations. She was very community-oriented donating to local churches and Women Shelters. Her family was her number one priority, and she enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren preparing many of their favorite meals.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her three children, Shannon (Richard) Cooper, Joel Marshall, Jr., and Ashley (finance Patsy Carbone) Marshall all of New Castle; brothers, John (Betty) Brophy of GA, and Joseph Brophy of New Castle; sister, Vera (Raymond) Klik-Angelo of New Castle; brother-in-law, William Rees; five grandchildren, Blaine (Anna) Hoffman, Sophie Comaduran, Logan (Adriana) Cooper, Chase Comaduran, and Jaxyn Carbone.
In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Rees; two brothers, Gary Paul Brophy and Dennis Brophy; and former husband, Joel Marshall, Sr.
