Christine (Mateja) Frazier

Christine (Mateja) Frazier, 80, of 811 Wilmington Road passed away the afternoon of November 26, 2022 at her residence.

Christine was born October 12, 1942 in Orwigsburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Syglowski) Mateja. Christine was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish-Mary, Mother of Hope Church. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1960.

Mrs. Frazier continued her education by graduating in 1962 from New Castle School of Beauty. She retired after more the 20 years of as service as a self-employed hairdresser. Christine was very active in her church and volunteered any chance could. She was a member of the Mary Mother Guild, and Christian Mothers.    

Mrs. Frazier is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. Reynolds of New Castle; sister, Dianne DeStefano of New Castle; grandson, James T. (Kate) Duncan of VA; and aunt, Nan Siglow of Avalon, PA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, William A. Frazier II, maternal grandparents, Rose and Anthony Syglowski, three uncles, Albin, Al, and Thadeus Syglowski, one aunt, Sr. M. Doloretta SHS

A private viewing for the family will be December 1, 2022 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish-Mary, Mother of Hope Church at 12 noon. The Rev. Joseph McCaffrey of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
