Daniel Lewis Jereb, 79, of 141 Terrace Dr. passed away the evening of May 18, 2026 after a long battle with Parkinson's.
Daniel was born December 27, 1946 in New Castle, PA. He was the son of the late Lewis and Frances (Udovich) Jereb. Daniel was married to the late Maye (Kubik) Jereb for 28 years. Mr. Jereb was Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish. He was a graduate of Mohawk Area High School, class of 1964.
Following graduation, Daniel earned an apprenticeship in Tool and Die making. Mr. Jereb retired after more than 50 years as a Tool and Die Maker at the former Packard Electric in Warren. He loved going fishing and hunting with his brother and family. In addition to being a stellar athlete, Daniel enjoyed watching both Cleveland baseball and Ohio State University athletics. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel N. (Alisa) Jereb of Monaca, PA; Kelly A. (Michael Jr.) Masone, of New Castle; brother, John Jereb of Bessemer, PA; and two grandchildren, Lily Masone and Michael Masone III.
Mr. Jereb was preceded in death by both his parents and wife, Maye Jereb.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle, PA.
A Procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for Holy Spirit Parish-St. Vitus site. Where a Mass of Christian Burial and Rite of Committal will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 9 a.m. Rev. Aaron Kriss Parochial Vicar of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy’s Cemetery.
