Darlene S. Koprivnak, 72, of Edinburg passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of August 24, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Darlene was born August 12, 1951 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Stanley Tarnaski and Myrtle Tarnaski Fredericks. Darlene was married to Larry R. Koprivnak; they were married for 25 years. He survives at home. She was a graduate of Mohawk High School, class of 1969.
Mrs. Koprivnak will be remembered by her family of as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Darlene was an avid reader; she loved walking in the woods with her dogs. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Larry, Darlene is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Randy) Wilson of Mt. Jackson, PA, stepson, Brice (Morgan) Koprivnak of Grove City, PA, and stepdaughter, Karianne (Derrick) Dias of Ocala, FL; brother, John (Linda) Tarnaski of Prince George, VA; sister, Barbara (Harold) Wright of Armagh, PA; six grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) McAnallen, Christopher McAnallen, Taven, Kinley, and Camden Koprivnak, and Dylan Dias; two-great grandchildren, Landon and Sophia McAnallen; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Koprivnak was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce McClain.
A Celebration of her Life, along with visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101.
