Darlene Pounds Obituary

Darlene P. Pounds, 76, of 219 N Beaver Street passed away the evening of March 24, 2024 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Darlene was born November 10, 1947 in Slippery Rock, PA. She was the daughter the late Leroy and Gladys (Peak) Pounds. Mrs. Pounds was of the Protestant faith. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School, class of 1965.

Mrs. Pounds will be remembered by her family as a loving Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandchildren. She also worked outside the home in the housekeeping department at UPMC Avalon Nursing Home. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by three sons, Chuck Miller of Warren, Oh., Robert and Richard Miller both of New Castle; two brothers Paul Pounds of New Castle, and Ralph Pounds of Ellwood City, PA; two sisters, Beverly Uber of Grove City, PA and Phyllis (Larry) McConahy of Slippery Rock, PA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Miller; three brothers, William, Jim, and Frank Pounds.

Following in her wishes there are no calling hours or services scheduled at this time. Local arrangements where entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
