David H Kerr

David H. Kerr, 90 of 725 Paul Street passed away the morning of August 21, 2026 at the Haven Nursing Home.

David was born March 14, 1936 in New Castle. He was the son of the late John and Lillian (Patton) Kerr. David married the former Olive (Renee) Benson. They were married for 24 years and she survives at home. David was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1954.

Mr. Kerr was a self-employed truck driver for Modern Trucking Company. He owned Dubs Auto Repair and worked for decades on many vehicles. David was an avid car guy, he enjoyed going camping, hunting, bowling, and dancing. Mr. Kerr loved being a truck driver. He also enjoyed using the CB radio and was a member of a local CB club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Olive, David is survived by his two children Tammy (Phillip) Bartolone, and David H. (Kelly) Kerr, both of New Castle; two step-children, Vanessa White and Danielle (Justin) Jenista, both of New Castle; six Grandchildren; and five Great-Grandchildren.

Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Robert, John, William, and Elmer Kerr; and four sisters, Roberta Rhyal, Edith Woods, Hazel Graham, Joan McCaslin.
