Diane L. (Gould) Shannon

Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Diane L. Shannon passed away the afternoon of May 4, 2026 after a lengthy Illness. She was a woman with a heart of gold that will be missed dearly by many friends and family.

Diane was born March 3, 1953 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Harriet (Ace) Gould. She was married to the late Timothy Shannon he preceded her in death in 2011. They were married for 17 years. Mrs. Shannon was of the protestant faith.

Mrs. Shannon will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. Diane enjoyed all types of computer games. She also enjoyed playing cards, or dice games. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Matthew) Segedi and grandson John Segedi that she resided with. Her sister, Elaine Pritts; one brother Max (Marie) Ace; and many grandkids, a great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Timothy, Diane was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ettinger; one brother, Clarence Gould, Jr.; and her sister Beverly.

Following Diane’s wishes, there are no calling hours scheduled at this time. A private family service will be held at a later date.
