Dolores M. Allegro, 91, of West Pittsburg, passed away the morning of July 25, 2025 at the Haven Nursing Home. Dolly was born on September 13, 1933 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Yatsko) Toth.
No child could ever have been more blessed than to have been raised by our parents, “Dolly and Pooch”, Dolores and Anthony Allegro. Their love for each other lasted on this earth in marriage for 63 years until Pooch was called Home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2019. Dolly’s love for him continued until she passed, and joined him on July 25, 2025.
Dolly’s life was filled with Love and laughter which was shared by everyone and everything that was important to her, Faith, Family, and Friends. She was generous in spreading her joy and “jokes” where ever she was. Dolly loved to travel and was fortunate to see many parts of the world.
Dolly worked as a secretary for the New Castle School District for 30 years, but her most loved and dedicated job was raising her four children; John F. Allegro, Debbie Kosciuszko (Bill), Mark Allegro (Judy), David Allegro (Braunda). Dolly is also very proud of her grandchildren, Amy Marvel (Doug), William Kosciuszko (fiance’ Yessica), John Allegro, Raisha Elser, and Matthew St. John; and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Owen, and Lucy.
Her many nieces and nephews added to the joy in her Lifetime. She shared her life with her siblings Robert Toth, John Toth (deceased), and Linda Phillips. In addition to her parents, husband, Dolly was recently preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Kosciuszko.
The love and memories that we her children have received from our Mother is beyond words. Our parents were an intricate part of a “once in a Lifetime” experience of being raised by not only them, but also alongside their faithful friends and families living in “The Burg”. It truly has been a joyful journey.
We will be eternally grateful to our Dear Mother, and to all of you who have filled her life with Love, Laughter, and Support. We Thank You.
