Dorothy J. "Tyke" (Stutz) Wright

Dorothy J. (Tyke) Wright, 63, of 608 N. Cedar St. New Castle passed away the evening of February 19, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Dorothy was born March 7, 1957 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Cimperman) Stutz. She was married to David Wright. He survives at home. They were together for 31 years and married for 5 years. She was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Wright was employed for 2 years as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Quality of Life Services here in New Castle. Dorothy was an avid shopper and enjoyed getting her hair and nails done. She also enjoyed preparing different meals for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter Alaina.

In addition to her husband David, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Megan (Allan) Seybolt of New Castle; three sisters, Georgia (companion Ray Carter) Edgerton on New Castle, Debbie (Wayne) Spier of East Liverpool, OH., and Maryann (Thomas) Perod of New Castle; granddaughter, Alaina Seybolt of New Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by both her parents, and brother, Jeffrey Stutz.

Following in Dorothy’s wishes there are no calling hours or services scheduled at this time. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street New Castle.
