Douglas L. Shearer

Douglas L. Shearer, 62, 218 Holiday Acres Drive, Orlando, FL. passed away the afternoon of August 21, 2022 at Orlando Hospital Medical Center.

Douglas was born April 28, 1960 in New Castle. He was the son of James and Georgeanna “Dolly” (Kopsky) Shearer. Douglas was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was a graduate of New Wilmington High School, class of 1978. Following graduation, he attended the University of Miami. Mr. Shearer retired after numerous years as a self-employed concrete finisher with several local companies, including Walt Disney.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is survived by his brother, Todd W. (Shanay) Shearer of Boston, NY; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Shearer was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents; brother, Jeff Shearer; and son, Michael Shearer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 11 a.m. to noon. A Memorial Service will be celebrated following visitation at 12 noon at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA.

The Memorial service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Dr. Joseph Ross from Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Site will officiate. Burial will take place afterwards in Fair Oaks Cemetery in New Wilmington, PA.
