Edward Boren Obituary

Edward Boren, 86 of Riverside Apartments passed away the afternoon of June 9, 2020.

Edward was born August 11, 1933 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Joseph and Blanche E. (Dytko) Boren. Mr. Boren was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish. Edward was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1951.

Mr. Boren was very talented singer and musician. Edward was a former member of the RCA recording artist’s trio of the 1950’s labeled the Three Suns. During the past fifty-plus years, he was self-employed and known as a “One Man Band”  entertaining at many venues between Meadville, Pittsburgh, and beyond.

Edward is survived by his sister Beverly Stillwagon of New Castle; two nieces, Krista (Bill) Harvey, and Marisa (Ryan) Buckel both of New Castle; great-niece, Kasaundra Harvey; and great nephew, Andrew Buckel.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his infant twin sister, brother-in-law, Robert J. Stillwagon, Jr. and a dear friend of many years, Harriet Wagoner.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus site. The Rev. Brendon Dawson, Parochial Vicar of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
