Ernest C. Maurer

Ernest C. Maurer, 80, New Castle passed away the evening of August 13, 2023 at Quality of Life Services.

Ernest was born September 23, 1942 in Youngstown, OH. He was the son of the late Ernest H. Rhodda and Sarah E. Maurer. Ernest was of the Catholic faith. He was a graduate of South High School, class of 1960.

Mr. Maurer was a self-employed musician. He was a member of the alumina association of South High School. Ernest is the current President of the Tri-County County Music Association, and a current member of Sara Warner and friend’s band. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Maurer is survived by his daughter, Shannon Reighart of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Peach Capezio of New Castle; cousin, Eddie Steiner of Austintown, OH; and two grandchildren.

Ernest was preceded in death by both his parents.
