Eva G. Funk, 84, of 1722 Kerr Street, New Castle passed away the morning of June 26, 2025 at her residence.
Eva was born in New Castle on September 24, 1941. She was the daughter of the late James W. and Annamarie (Rowland) McClenahan. She was married to the late Harry C. Funk. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2004. Eva was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Funk was a graduate of Union High School, class of 1959.
Mrs. Funk will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother by her family. Eva enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, and working outdoors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her two children son, Todd H. Funk of New Castle; daughter, Jami S. (Timothy) Stiefel of Bushnell, FL; three grandchildren, Jordawn A. (Colt) Andrews, Robert J. Zarlenga, and Brandon H. Zarlenga; and four great-grandchildren, Serenity, Bellamy, Jack, and Avery Cooper.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Marie Funk; and sister, Ada Pavlov.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
Funeral services will immediately following visitation at 7 p.m. Pastor Jordan Rimmer of Northminster Presbyterian Church will officiate.
