Garrett James Magazzine

Garrett James Magazzine, 20, passed away the morning of February 10, 2023 at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Van Nuys, CA, as a result of an anoxic brain injury.

Garrett was born on July 16, 2002 in New Castle. He was the son of Richard J. Magazzine and Lori J.(Hale) Sager. They both survive at home. He attended Neshannock and Wilmington School Districts. Garrett loved listening to music, taking long walks, and enjoyed sharing his creative drawings as he aspired to be an architect. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his big brother Cory.

Mr. Magazzine is survived by his mother, Lori (Joseph) Sager of New Castle; father, Richard J. (Michelle) Magazzine of Wilson, NC; maternal grandparents, John (Betty) Hale, paternal grandparents, Louis (Greta) Magazzine of Boardman, OH; step grandmother, Shirley Sager of New Castle, a brother, Cory Magazzine of Woodland Hills, CA,  step brothers, Joseph (Olivia) Sager of New Castle, and Sidney Pecore of Wilson, NC; step sisters, Lindsay Pecore of New Castle, and Cecily Pecore of Wilson, NC.; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Life Baptist Church in New Wilmington, PA on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon. Pastors Tim Fair and Greg Marshall will officiate. Local arrangements entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
