Garry R. McConahay, Jr.

Garry R. McConahay, Jr., 46 of Edinburg passed away on the evening of January 30, 2022 at his residence. Mr. McConahay was born on November 20, 1975 in Sharon PA. He was the son of the late Garry and Nancy (Tarasek) McConahay Sr. Garry was of Russian Orthodox faith.

Garry worked as a supervisor for Vortex Recycling and also worked for the former New Castle Battery.  He was an active hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and his dog “Brutus”.  Garry was also a member of the Mahoning Sportsman’s Club. 

He is survived by his brother Mark John McConahay of Edinburg; Uncles, Bobby and Jack (Sharon) McConahay, both of New Castle, Roger and Ronald McConahay.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA. A Blessing Service will follow immediately after the visitation. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
