Ivan “Ike” Dubrasky, 72, of New Wilmington, passed away peacefully due to a short illness on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 with family by his side.
Ike was born February 26, 1948 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Andrew and Helen Piroga Dubrasky. Mr. Dubrasky was married 40 years to the former Kathleen A. Shevitz, surviving at home. He was a devoted husband and father to his son. Ike was a graduate of New Wilmington High School, class of 1966.
After graduation, Ike enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, earning the medals of Good Conduct, National Defense Service, and Expert M-16.
Ike loved hunting, fishing, and walking his dog. He enjoyed spending time with his son outdoors the most.
In addition to his wife Kathy, Ike is survived by his son, Derek D. Dubrasky of Enon Valley; two brothers, Richard M. Dubrasky of New Castle and Gerald J. Dubrasky of New Wilmington; sister, Marlene M. Petrich of Plum Boro, PA.
Mr. Dubrasky was preceded in death by his parents.
In honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hours, a celebration of life service for his close friends and family will be held later on this year.
