Jacqueline K. Santillo, 85, of 1217 Eastbrook Neshannock Falls Road passed away the morning of November 11, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Jacqueline was born January 31, 1940 in Princeton. She was the daughter of the late Jacob N. and Mary (Kopsky) Bakuhn. Jacqueline was married to Thomas Santillo. He survives at home. They were married on May 22, 1971 and spent 54 years together. Mrs. Santillo was of the Orthodox faith and a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. She was a graduate of Laurel High School, class 1958.
Mrs. Santillo continued her education earning her bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Santillo retired after 39 years of services as an Elementary Teacher with the Wilmington Area School District. She was a very active member of St. Nicholas Church, and also a member of Young Women of America. Mrs. Santillo was an animal lover, she enjoyed her horses and dog “Bo”. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her many nieces.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Jacqueline is survived by nine nieces, Karen (Andrew) Clark, Wendy (Steve) McPherson, Tawnee (David) Hunter, Amy (Richard) Crawshaw, Debra (Robert) DeVries, Judi (Greg) Keller, Linda Alick, Susan (John) Biberich, and Ruby Alick. Thomas would like to extend a special thanks to Amy Bender and her family for all of their support. He would also like to thank caretakers Kimberly Emery and Robin Ficher
Mrs. Santillo was preceded in death by her parents, two nephews, George Alick, and Ernie Offredo; four sisters, Mary Offredo, Jennie Alick, Evelyn Gorgacz, and Lenora Bakuhn; and brother, Jacob Bakuhn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street New Castle Pa.
A funeral service will be held immediately follow visitation in the funeral home. The Very Reverend Kevin Long and Protopresbyter Richard Salley will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery.
