James Harper Obituary

James A. Harper, 65, of New Castle passed away at his residence on Feb. 20, 2021.
James was born on Nov. 7, 1955, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Charles Harper Sr. and Helen (Mundziak) Harper.
He was married to the former Melanie Davis. She survives at home.
James was a 1973 graduate of New Castle High School.
James retired from Ellwood Quality Steel as a lab technician. After retirement, he worked part-time for Bruce and Merrilees.
When he was not working, he enjoyed doing projects around the house, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his daughters, D'Anna Harper, Esq, of South Carolina, and Jamie (Joshua) Vitale of New Castle; stepchildren, Stephanie Davis, Gino Print and Antonio Print; grandchildren, Jude and Juliet Vitale of New Castle; brothers, Charles Harper of Alabama, and Thomas (Brenda) Harper of New Castle; and sister, Charlene (Dr.Craig) Slater of South Carolina.
James was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David P. Harper.
A private service will be held on Wednesday at Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill St., New Castle.
Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery.
