James Zajac, 74, of Shenango Twp., New Castle, PA, passed away the evening of May 16, 2025 in Butler Memorial Hospital after a short illness. James was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Lysiak) Zajac.
James graduated from Laurel High school in 1968. James worked at Rockwell Spring Works and then Rockwell-Axle Works for many years. He then received an associate’s degree as a Machinist and worked for Molinero Tool & Die, where he retired. James enjoyed the outdoors, going camping, fishing and working in his garden.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Judith (Sines) Zajac of New Castle; sons, James Joseph Zajac and grandsons, Justin and Ryan of Phoenixville, PA and Jason James Zajac and wife Lauren Zajac and grandsons Andrew and Colin of State College, PA; sister, Judy Kerr; sister-in-laws, Shirley (Braatz) Sines of New Castle and Jacquelyn Brauninger of Delaware, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Zajac; and sister-in-law, Sandra (McAnallen) Zajac; sister, Helen Wischerman and brother-in-law, Henry Wischerman; and sister, Stella McAnallen and brother-in-law, Clair McAnallen.
In following in his wishes, there will be no callings hours or service scheduled at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
