Jane Ann Kibish Adamczyk passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at HIS Latrobe Hospital in Latrobe, PA, where she was receiving hospice care. Born on July 31, 1928, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rudzis Kibish.
Jane graduated from New Castle High School and began her career as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and later worked at Jo-Ann Fabrics. She had a lifelong love of sewing and crafting, creating cherished prom dresses for her daughters, as well as afghans and quilts for her grandchildren.
Alongside her husband, Julian, she found joy in the kitchen, making pierogis and ravioli together, and preparing church dinners at SS. Philip and James Church in New Castle. Her faith was central to her life as she was a devoted member of SS. Philip and James Church. After SS. Philip and James Church was closed, she became a member at St. Vitus. Jane and Julian shared a love for travel, making memorable trips to Puerto Rico and Las Vegas.
She also traveled to Fatima, Portugal with fellow church members. In her later years, she resided at Brookdale Assisted Living in Latrobe, PA, where she found joy in community activities such as bowling, cornhole, bingo, and afternoon music gatherings, frequently ending Wednesday afternoons with the recitation of the rosary. She was a loyal Steelers fan, and enjoyed watching them play.
She was preceded in death by Julian, her beloved husband of 74 years; her son, Robert; daughter, Patricia; her parents; and her brothers, Constantine, Stanley, and Frank.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Keller; daughter-in-law, Lauri Adamczyk; granddaughters, Alison Fisher and Elizabeth Adamczyk; grandsons, Zachary (Kristen) Keller, Nathan (Stephanie) Keller, Michael (Katie) Adamczyk, and Daniel Adamczyk; and her great-grandchildren, Shyla Smith, Isabella Fisher, Roman and Reid Keller, Elijah Keller, Emerson and Hadley Keller, and Margot Adamczyk. She also leaves behind her niece, Joy Shaffer, and extended family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Jane’s presence in the lives of her family and friends was a source of love and reassurance, and she will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday morning, March 3, 2025 at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street. A procession will leave following visitation from the funeral home to HSP St. Vitus site for a Mass of Christian burial which will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Parochial Vicar Rev. Aaron Kriss will officiate. Rite of Committal and burial will be in SS. Philip and James Cemetery. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Excela Hospice, the staff at IHS Latrobe, and Brookdale.
