Janet L. (Boughter) Kwiatkowski

Janet L. Kwiatkowski, 84, of Shenango Twp., passed away the evening of January 19, 2021 with her family by her side.

Janet was born February 2, 1936 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Orpha I. (Gutshall) Boughter. Janet was married to the late Ronald M. Kwiatkowski. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2013. They were married for 58 years. Mrs. Kwiatkowski was of the Protestant faith and member of Grace Bible Church.

Mrs. Kwiatkowski retired after 30 years of service as a cook with the Den-Vend Vending Company. Janet will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed taking bus trips with her husband. Janet loved to bake and cook for her family. Family was her life and she enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and her faithful companion KoKo.

Janet is survived by three daughters, Brenda L. (William) Phillips, Peggy A. (Ronald) Matteo, and Rhonda M. (William) Strawhecker all of New Castle; brother, Edward (Sharon) Boughter, of New Castle; two sisters, Betty Heasley and Patricia Ponzi, both of New Castle; three grandchildren, William R. (Scott) Phillips, Jeremy (Lauren) Hogue, and Brandy (John) Downing; and three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Hogue, Addison Downing, and Brody Hogue.

In addition to her parents and husband Ronald, Janet was preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles Boughter, James Boughter, and William Boughter.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 22 , 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle, PA. Due to COVID restrictions, masks and social distancing required.

A Funeral service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Pastor John Coomer of Grace Bible Church will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
