Jannet Johnston, 81 of 520 New Castle Street passed away the afternoon of December 25, 2025 at new Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation center.
Jannet was born October 27, 1944 in Chewton, PA. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Houk) Winterbottom. Mrs. Johnston was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1962 in Ellwood City. Mrs. Johnston retired after numerous years of services as a Bartender at several local Bars and Restaurants in the Ellwood City area. Jannet will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, aunt, cousin, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her son, John Sarver of TN.; step-daughter, Elizabeth (Thomas) McKee of New Castle, PA.; Stepson, Charles (Betsy Welsh) Johnston; brother, Daniel Winterbottom of New Castle; grandson, Scott Hill of Detroit, MI; cousin, Nancy Brommer; and Nephew Bill Burnside.
In addition to her parents, Jannet was preceded in death by her husband Charles Johnston; and two sisters, Katherine Winterbottom and Patricia Winterbottom.
