Jean A. (Martell) Evans

Jean A. Evans, 81 of Sheridan Avenue passed away the morning of August 24, 2021 at 120 Lindsay Rd. Carnegie, PA with her family at her side.
Jean was born December 2, 1939 in Port Smith N.H. She was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Bertha M. (Tourtellotte) Martell. Jean was married to the late William V. Evans, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2020. They were married for 63 years. Mrs. Evans was a graduate of Port Smith High School, class of 1957.  She was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Evans was a loving homemaker for her husband and family. She also worked outside the home as a clerk, first at J.J. Newberry, the Economy Market, and the Marshalls Store in 1997. 
Jean is survived by three daughters, Lonnie (Raymond) Rieder of New Castle, Bobbie Jean (Rody) Rodocker of Carnegie, PA, and Lorrie Lee (Rich) Hohenbrink of Pittsburgh, PA; son, William V. (Linda) Evans, III of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Albert Martell of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Joan Elaine (Raymond) Fuchler of Wells, Maine.; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband William, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Alan Lee Martell and sisters, Mildred Ellen Martell McColland and Catherine A. Martell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 Mill street New Castle.
A Blessing service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Minister Joel Chrispo Dumba,  will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Online condolence may be viewed or offered by visiting www.nogafuneralhome.com
