Joanne M. (Reynolds) Pitzer

Joanne M. Pitzer, 93, of 390 Frew Road, Ellwood City, PA passed away the morning of October 21, 2026 at her residence.

Joanne was born March 9, 1933 in Portersville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian (Aird) Reynolds. Joanne was married to the late John T. Pitzer, Jr. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2005. They were married for 20 years. Mrs. Pitzer was of the Protestant faith and attended Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Pitzer was a graduate of Butler High School, class of 1951. She continued her education and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning her bachelor’s degree in Education.

Mrs. Pitzer retired after 28 years of service as the Manager of the Hostess Shop in Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Joanne loved doing all types of puzzles, and watching the birds outside her window. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by her six children, Richard Tuite of Cranberry Twp. Pa, Michael Tuite of Ford City, Pa, Thomas Tuite, Boyers PA, Kathleen Beary Cambridge Springs, PA, Lynda Todd of Ellwood City, PA, and Scott Tuite of Washington; sixteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents and husband John, Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Reynolds; and sister, Ruth Janovich

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 to 12 pm at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle, PA, 16101.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler, pa.
